MCLEAN, Va. – September 30, 2020 – IntelliBridge, a federal technology innovator dedicated to customer mission success, has completed their 5K Circuit for 2020. Despite the logistical challenges of this year’s international Coronavirus pandemic, the IntelliBridge staff participated in a total of four 5K events to raise money and support the communities in which employees live and work. The first race of the year was the INOVA StarKid 5K, supporting the INOVA Children’s Hospital in May.
The first virtual 5K event in which IntelliBridge employees participated was in support of Casey Cares on August 1. The organization provides ongoing, uplifting programs for families with critically ill children in seven states, to include Washington, D.C. Cass Panciocco, IntelliBridge President and CEO, commented “This has been an incredibly difficult year for the country and the world. It’s a core value of our company to give back to our communities, both personally and professionally, and I am impressed by the charitable efforts of our employees.”
The next two legs of the 5K circuit supported events which IntelliBridge (through legacy company IntelliWare) had sponsored for the past several years. In June, employees supported the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) with a Pie-to-the-Face Challenge, and then near the end of September employees participated in the virtual 5K for NOCC, which IntelliBridge also sponsored. IntelliBridge was even recognized as one of the Top 3 teams for the NOCC Central Maryland Chapter, and invited to an Evening of Gratitude (over Zoom) where the Top Teams were recognized, survivors shared inspiring stories, and information was provided on the programs this year’s donations helped institute.
In the beginning of September, IntelliBridge sponsored the 9|11 Memorial 5K with the participation of several employees. Donations for that race went to the Pentagon Memorial Fund and HEROES organizations. IntelliBridge Executive President Dom LaPore added, “It’s impressive to see the same focus and dedication our employees consistently provide our customers, also applied to uplifting our communities in a time that this support is needed so much. Our executive team has been impressed with this year’s level of participation from our employees. Regardless of the additional challenges in their own lives, they were still able to pull together and improve the lives of others.”
